  • Mixed emotions – so sorry to see Pine go, and yet I must applaud Pine's new path, because I do that myself on occasion. It is my sincere hope that more of those awesome image collections will be published – those are particularly enjoyable! Thank you, Pine, for all your hard work on The Signpost! – Paine EllsworthCLIMAX! 22:50, 21 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks for all of your contributions, Pine! I realize that most of the work on Wikipedia goes unrecognized so it's appropriate to thank you now! Liz Read! Talk! 19:35, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Response from Pine[edit]

Much gratitude to everyone who contributed to the Signpost during my time, and to the new leaders Gamaliel and Go Phightins! who volunteered for this time-consuming, sometimes exhausting, and very important project for the community. I'm also grateful to our readers, especially those who occasionally left me nice comments like Paine Ellsworth and Liz did here.

I recently became the executive director for Cascadia Wikimedians User Group, where one of our first projects is to produce video content to teach people (particularly university students) how to edit Wikipedia using VisualEditor. I hope that the video will be helpful to many people in the community, especially people who are involved in outreach initiatives.

Looking forward to more adventures, --Pine 21:43, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That sounds both exciting and challenging, Pine. Definitely a task worth taking on! Good luck! Liz Read! Talk! 21:49, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
