(Though the Gandhi from the original 1991 release of Sid Meier's Civlization would've been a close second, if only the story of an integer underflow bug that flipped peace-loving Gandhi's Aggression stat to maximum and turned him into a warmongering Nuclear warlord were actually true. But alas, as our own article notes, there's no evidence to support the bug rumor. It's U.S-centric because it reflects a period where everyone (though possibly mostly Americans) went checking on every article related to the election.
