Wisconsin Underwater Archaeology Association(WUAA) is a non-profit organization focused on preserving historical shipwrecks and other material off the coasts of Wisconsin.[1]
Background
[edit]Founded in 1990, the WUAA primarily focuses on history associated with Lake Michigan and Lake Superior.[2]
On May 12th, 2024, WUAA historians discovered the wreck of the schooner Margaret A. Muir a few miles off the coast of Algoma Harbor after being undiscovered for 130 years.[3]
