Category:Archaeological sites of Western Africa by country

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Archaeological Sites in the region of West Africa organized by country. West Africa is defined as is by the UN (Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, Gambia, Cape Verde, and any other islands off the coast). As of now, certain countries lack categories to add to this one. This category is meant only to contain further categories, although if articles exist which are dedicated to listing or describing the archaeological landscape of any particular West African country, they can also be allocated to this. Please refrain from adding articles about specific archaeological sites (these should go into their corresponding Country categories or into the Archaeological sites of Western Africa category, cultures (these should be in any of the numerous categories dedicated to Archaeological Cultures), or things not in the region of focus.
