Subcatgories?[edit]

I wonder if we might want subcategories for half dollars and dollars? ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:39, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Wehwalt: Pinging you based on your numismatics work. ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:23, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure it would be useful. Relatively few issues have not included a half dollar, and we have those multi-coin issues even in the early times.--Wehwalt (talk) 20:54, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
OK, sounds good. ---Another Believer (Talk) 22:50, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Wehwalt: Another option is having subcategories for "Early United States commemorative coins" and "Modern United States commemorative coins". ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:08, 3 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That seems to be logical. There's a clear separation.--Wehwalt (talk) 17:55, 3 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Wehwalt: I went ahead and created Category:Early United States commemorative coins. Hopefully I populated the category correctly. I'll see if I can get to the modern coins subcategory soon. ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:14, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
From what came across my watchlist, it looked good. Thanks.--Wehwalt (talk) 19:48, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Wehwalt: Ditto Category:Modern United States commemorative coins. This leaves just a few in the parent category to move. ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:53, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The Jamestowns should probably be merged and put in the modern, the Norse American put in the early, the New Rochelle ditto, and I don't think it's necessary on the 50 State Quarters. That would leave only the Commemorative Coins article, which probably can stay where it is.--Wehwalt (talk) 21:07, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed sub-categories[edit]

I'm proposing two more sub-categories for this category:
