Why do not want to put Burmese Muslims or Myanmar Muslims and Burmese Indian Muslims or Myanmar Indian Muslims as separate group. But Burmese Malays and Panthays could be mentioned. Ne Win’s BSPP/SLORC/SPDC is illegally denying the registration us as separate ethnic group without success. Germans killed 6 million Jews but failed. I am not asking for any special rights but no one can deny that we are Citizens and in Democracy, please read UN articles in Wikipedia for the citizen rights and Individual Freedom. No need to fight anymore.

Why Rohingya in List? Because some news and websites says?

Burma have long been declared its 135 ethnic groups including the very small minority people counting only few thousands. But Rohingya is not regarded as indigenous ethnic group legally, just because they are foreigners like Chinese and Indians. They can be permanent resident or citizen if the governing law is granted, but can never be a national ethnic group. The same applies to all foreigners living in Burma.

During the last few decades, unlike other Indian and Chinese migrants, the migrants from Bangladesh(our vision ,though both governments are denying the people on the border) gain the popularity on the news and international media including wiki and BBC regard them as Burmese ethnic group using the newly coined term "Rohingya". BBC even publish a map of Burma on their official site showing false labeling of whole Arakan(Rakhine) state as Rohingya.(A too big to believe area and I was surprised to see) Just visit Burma and you will see so called Rohingya dominant in only 2 townships bordering Bangladesh which they invade by populace in 20th century. British documents can confirm these two townships are once Rakhine majority during early 1900s. How they disappear from there is very simple, massacres and frightened away during the world war and afterwards every time the country is in disorder. There are many websites and pages on internet claiming that they are indigenous and ill-treated by junta. This is a problem haven't work out yet between two countries of the border. It is too early to say that they are of Burmese.

The universal fact that the junta is very cruel and bad cannot be used as an excuse to predetermine the people as Burmese, as they are never officially regarded as indigenous of Myanmar(Burma). The British census documents a century ago also not supporting the existence of such an ethnic called Rohingya. Burma have a lot of Muslims in many cities and some of them are from local ethnic group like Bamar or local-foreigner mixed Indo-Burmese. We Burmese regards them as local as they are, but but to the Rohingya people we say No. Most people in our country(Burma) are regarding them as foreigners living in our country, because we have learned a thousand year long history and never learned of a name Rohingya.

As the current Rohingya article in wiki described, they are in our country for less than a hundred year. We may let them live in Burma for humanity sake, but they will never be regarded as an indigenous ethnicity as they are not. Burma junta may finally end and a true democratic government will arose, but false evidence and false history the migrating Bangladeshi wrote can never be approved. The true ethnic groups of Arakan(English name for Rakhine) is that Rakhine(regional majority), Thet, Khami, Myo and DaingNet. Rohingya is not counted before an unlikely event of future Burmese government officially announce.

What I discussed above may be black and white of the knowledge you know. But truth can never be eternally hidden. I just write this as I am a Burma national and feel very sorry for Rakhine people (earliest cultured people of Burma) whose land is robbed by means on international media. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.255.2.112 (talk) 06:05, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
