From Wigan?[edit]

Taken from Category page:

So why don't you put them into the appropriate place category? --Regan123 17:00, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
When I DO put them in their CORRECT and TRUE place, YOU remove them and put them back into the WRONG place! WHY do you insist on people being 'FROM' Wigan, when they are clearly NOT? Just because someone has played rugby/football for, or joined a pop group in, or gone to college in, Wigan, doesn't mean they are 'from' there. Some of you don't seem to realise where Wigan is. I do, because I live, and always have lived, in the area. Ashcroft is 'from' Skelmersdale (whether he's been to Wigan a few times or not), Danny Tickle is 'from' Golborne, Darren Almond is 'from' Appley Bridge. Dave Whelan is 'from' Bradford. Ian Mc.Kellen from Burnley, etc. etc. etc. Let's put everybody, whose ever been to Wigan, on the 'people from Wigan page' eh?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.192.242.187 (talkcontribs).
I am putting people where they are shown to be from citeable sources. If these can be shown to be incorrect then they can be removed and placed. As for Richard Ashcorft, following Talk:Wigan/archive1 this has been done to death. He has a significant connection with Wigan the town, so he stays on this page. --Regan123 13:48, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. But, I must say this about it. Richard Ashcroft only 'comes from' Wigan, because everyone who lives near Wigan says so. If everyone from near Wigan says that Jesus Christ was 'from' Wigan, he'd be on the 'People from Wigan' page too! I've told you about Wigan before, I can't think of another place, known to me, where it's residents are so misled. Jemmy.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.192.242.187 (talkcontribs).

Incorrect listing[edit]

Richard D. Lewis is listed under "R". He should be listed under "L". I wasn't sure if I was able to correct this... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Archibaldgrabbitch (talkcontribs) 13:56, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
