Proposal for split[edit]

This category holds rivers from all parts of Russia, being at the same time a subcategory of both European and Asian rivers. As result rivers like Amur and Yenisei are under Category:Rivers of Europe, which is confusing. I propose to split it in two categories - something like "Rivers in European part of Russia" and "Rivers in Asian part of Russia". They can either become subcategories here, or go directly as subcategories under Category:Geography of Russia and Category:Rivers by country. I am aware it would be a laborious task. -- Goldie (tell me) 14:22, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's a bad idea. Don't divide it. - Darwinek 10:58, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

why in this cat?[edit]

Is there any good reason why these river articles should be directly in this category when they are already in subcategories of this category? Hmains (talk) 17:41, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
