Draft:Atlas RFID

  • Comment: Routine business reporting, press releases, and primary sources do not establish notability per WP:GNG / WP:ORGCRIT. After multiple earlier declines, there is no evidence of notability, therefore I can only conclude that better sources are not forthcoming. To avoid further reviewer time being expended on this, I am now rejecting rather than merely declining this draft. DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:08, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
  • Comment: With mostly press-release announcements, I don't see this passing WP:CORPDEPTH. Wikipedia is not simply a promotional tool and WP:SIGCOV is required. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 21:30, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
  • Comment: Still lots of peacock terms. Seawolf35 (talk - email) 17:23, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
  • Comment: Just the word "solution" isn't the problem - the tone of the entire article is promotional. Phrases like "serves numerous Fortune 100 companies" and "immersive, mobile experience" (and no, those aren't the only ones in this draft) sound like they belong in a company's marketing materials, not an encyclopedia article. • Comment: Not enough independent, significant coverage listed to justify this article. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 16:25, 10 November 2023 (UTC)

Atlas RFID, headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, is a global eCommerce retailer of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) and IoT (Internet of Things) components and software. Founded in 2008, the company serves companies across a variety of industries including inventory management, asset tracking, automotive, retail, construction and more.

History[edit]

Atlas was originally incorporated in 2008 as “Atlas RFID Solutions Store, LLC” by its founder and former CEO Robert Fuqua. The company became focused as a B2B eCommerce business, fulfilling online orders for RFID equipment, tags and related accessories.[1]

In 2014, Atlas RFID was ranked No. 180 on Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 list[2] as a distributor of RFID products across North America with agreements in place with many OEMs including: HID, Zebra, Smartrac, and Impinj.[3]

In January 2015, Los Angeles, California-based asset manager Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, and Benford Capital Partners, a Chicago, Illinois-based private equity firm, invested in the technology hardware company.[4]

In March 2019, Benford Capital Partners, along with Will Daly, former co-President, COO and CFO of Barcodes Inc., acquired the majority stake in Atlas RFID.

ALEX at The World Games[edit]

Developed for the 2022 World Games held in Birmingham, Alabama, ALEX: The Alabama Experience was a mobile experience that featured a collection of interactive kiosks that walked users through daily life in Alabama. Atlas RFID served as the Technical User Experience Coordinator to provide planning, services and hardware required to deliver the kiosk-based career interaction showcase.[5]

Jovix Acquisition & Continued Support[edit]

In September 2021, Hexagon AB acquired Jovix from Atlas RFID in support of its expansion into the procurement, fabrication, and construction market[6], while Atlas continues to support the Jovix business.[7]

Developed and supported by Atlas RFID, Jovix is a cloud-based software specifically designed for industrial construction, providing real-time visibility of materials and location to stakeholders throughout the supply chain. As of 2021, Jovix software has been deployed in 25 countries on more than 650 job sites, and has more than 7,500 users worldwide.[8][9]
