Dr. Kirk Lewis Career and Technical High School (CTHS) is a secondary school in Houston, Texas. The school offers over twenty different specialized programs to 1,400 students coming from Pasadena Independent School District (PISD) intermediate and high schools. Many of these programs provide industry-recognised certifications. The school has stated that it intends to prepare students both for college after graduation and/or for their immediate entry into the workforce.

Campus[edit]

Named after Kirk Lewis, on of the former superintendents of the Pasadena ISD, the campus was opened in 2014. Planning began in 2009, and after a $37.5 million bond initiative was approved by district voters in 2011, construction began and continued for three years. [2]

Feeders[edit]

All students from all PISD intermediate and high schools can apply for a career or technical education. There are 20 different programs available in the school.[3]

Sports[edit]

CTHS only has one sport in which is Cross country running. Cross Country used to be an running club but later on became an athletic sport. Students practice for preparation when the Cross Country season starts in the District and compete against other Pasadena Isd High Schools. Started in August 2023, People who are in athletics are eligible for Varsity University Interscholastic League meetings.[4]
