Abolfazl Mobaraki (Persian: ابوالفضل مبارکی; born October 18, 1969, born in Varamin, Iran) is an Iranian pop singer who is known by the artistic name of Saeed Shayesteh.

Biography

Abolfazl Mobarki was born in Varamin, into a relatively large family. He had a strong passion for music from an early age. During his adolescence, he began his singing career as a member of the  Varamin Music group, performing at weddings. He also spent some time as a member of the music group "Yaran" in Tehran, performing at various events, despite the strict regulations and limitations within Iran. His father was an electrical technician at the Varamin Sugar Factory, and his mother was in charge of the tailoring department at the factory.

During Saeed's childhood, his father passed away. He essentially inherited his love for art from his family. His father had a remarkable singing voice, and his grandmother would spontaneously recite poetry. Furthermore, his brother, Mohammad Mobarki, is also active in the field of singing, working as a songwriter and composer.

Starting path

His passion for music began with buying a Ney Labk (a type of flute) from the Reza bazaar in Mashhad. He started learning to play this instrument experimentally and then moved on to the flute. Eventually, he began learning to play the accordion and melodica. Among his other specialized instruments, he learned to play the piano, keyboard, as well as percussion instruments like timpani.

Athletic Activities

Aside from singing, he has been involved in wrestling for many years. He began his involvement in freestyle wrestling at the age of 9 and pursued it professionally for 11 years. However, as he became more professionally engaged in music and gained recognition in his city, he was barred from participating in wrestling clubs despite achieving the title of Vice Champion of Tehran and ranking third in the country's wrestling academies. This issue became one of the significant reasons for his decision to migrate abroad.

Personal life

Saeed Shayesteh met his spouse at a party in Tehran in the year 1994. Their engagement coincided with his decision to migrate from Iran and obtain residency in Sweden in 1996. Along with his spouse, he immigrated to Sweden in 1998. However, after a few years of living abroad, they separated for personal reasons. Currently, he is deeply engaged in his profession and artistic activities.

Interests

He is considered one of the patriotic artists of his era, and he has dedicated several of his songs, including "Iran," Royayeh-Shabaneh "(Nocturnal Dream), "Parastoo-ye Gharib" (The Lonely swallow), and "Ahay-Khoda "(Oh God),to his homeland, Iran, throughout his artistic career. Additionally, during the Green Movement in 2009–2010, when he released the song "Iran," he received a gold necklace depicting the map of Iran as a gift from the Royal Representation Office of Iran located in Germany. He proudly always wears this necklace. Among his most significant interests is his presence on the stage and in theater, as well as his acting skills. These talents are abundantly visible in the majority of his music videos. He also has a keen interest in volleyball, badminton, walking, and cooking, which are part of his daily activities. Among Iranian dishes, he particularly loves "Sabzi Polo" (a Persian herbed rice dish) with fish and "Ghormeh sabzi" (Persian herb stew).

Discography

In 2000 , he released his first album named "Ghasre Geli,"(clay place) featuring his own lyrics and music, with arrangements by Farhad Arababi in Stockholm, Sweden. Later, in 2002, he traveled to Los Angeles, USA, to continue his artistic activities. However, the onset of this migration coincided with the September 11th terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers and other locations in the United States. This tragic event deeply influenced his artistic plans. Consequently, after six months, he returned to Sweden. In 2004, he signed a contract with Taraneh Records in Los Angeles, and the album "Ghasre Geli"(clay place) was re-released under the title "Ketabe Sarnevesht" (The Book of Destiny). This edition included his popular song "Rooyaye Shabaneh"( Nocturnal Dream) and gained attention from users. His second collaboration with Taraneh Records occurred in 2006 with the release of the album "Goli." This album marked a greater success, particularly after the release of the song "Goli," which was warmly embraced by the audience. This success paved the way for his third album, titled "Azaram Bedi," (If you hurt me )released in 2010, in cooperation with Taraneh Records. Furthermore, in 2012, his first collaboration with Avang Music took place with a remix and music video for the song "Rooyaye Shabaneh" in Stockholm, Sweden. This project garnered attention from Iranians worldwide. This collaboration with Avang Music has continued since then, and approximately 15 single tracks have been released in partnership with this company. According to his latest updates, he is currently focused on his new album.
