Link to filter: Special:AbuseFilter/680. Maybe add some other emoji in place or leave as-is. --QEDK () 19:03, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please import my changes from MediaWiki talk:Abusefilter-disallowed-emoji/sandbox

A few reasons:
  • The filter should be friendly, as adding emojis to articles isn’t necessarily vandalism, such as adding new emojis to Unicode charts.
  • Because the filter is friendly, “never appropriate” is also being removed. 54nd60x (talk) 13:26, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Not done this is almost always vandalism, see the filter log. Your example of updating a Unicode chart is an extreme edge case which we would want to have a FP reported for so it can be exempted. — xaosflux Talk 23:47, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
