One bit edit war[edit]

You say "don't revert me like a vandal". To which I reply: do you really think that "test" is a necessary and sufficient edit summary? If we cannot agree, then let us simply revert to that which was here for years and which is used on the other English language wikis:

I wrote test because someone asked me to fix it. I wasn't sure this was the right page, so that's how my edit summary was. Have a look on Special:Watchlist/edit: it's inconsistent with the rest there. I'm not really interested in how other projects do it. Majorly talk 18:02, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
But it is consistent with the "all" at the top of the namespace selection list in Special:Contributions. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 18:06, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know why a reversion to the default message seemed like an appropriate solution, but I've switched to "(Article)". This should provide the desired "hint that there is no Article: namespace as such" while serving as a proper heading. —David Levy 13:22, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
