Negin Bagheri (Persian: نگین باقری) is an Iranian journalist.[1][2] Bagheri and Elnaz Mohammadi were arrested by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps during the Mahsa Amini protests.[3][4][5]

Arrest[edit]

In September 2023, Bagheri and Elnaz Mohammadi were sentenced to serve approximately one month in prison, which represents one-fortieth of their three-year sentences, as decreed by a Tehran Revolutionary Court.[6][7] They were charged with "assembly and collusion" and "conspiracy." In addition to the prison time, Bagheri was banned from leaving Iran and was required to undergo 'ethics training.'[8][9]
