On the table, Kevin Sinfield's sport is listed as rugby league and rugby union. On this page (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/sports-personality/34845334), Kevin Sinfield's sport is listed solely as rugby league. On the other hand, Kevin Sinfield does indeed currently play rugby union for Yorkshire Carnegie. Do you think Kevin Sinfield's sport should be listed as solely rugby league, or kept as it is currently? Leeds United FC fan (talk) 19:53, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
His nomination comes on the back of his successes in rugby league, not rugby union, which he has only just started playing. I suggest that as his SPOTY nomination is rugby league based, and this is a SPOTY article, his sport should be listed as rugby league. RugbyXIII (talk) 20:41, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
If the BBC list it as rugby league only then seems reasonable to list it as such here, even if he has switched to the other (greater) code. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 20:46, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I agree, it should just be rugby league - both because that's what the source says and thats why he is nominated. The fact he has just switched to the code that's 100 years behind is irrelevant :P Mattlore (talk) 20:51, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
