Other DVDs to Add[edit]

I believe that the 2006 release "Fun With Dick and Jane" is also ARccOS 'enabled.' At least my copy of it is, and this thread would seem to substantiate my theory: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=176309 --68.50.99.232 18:39, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Core[edit]

"The Core" DVD also uses ARccOS. --Jack Zhang 05:01, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ddrescue[edit]

dd_rescue (garloff.de) and GNU ddrescue can recover discs damaged by ARccOS.

Running dd_rescue -A -B 2048 -v /dev/dvd DVDBACKUP.iso was sufficient to recover a Lost: Season 2 DVD. -- Gnomeza (talk) 20:20, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

dd_rescue has largely been superceded by GNU ddrescue, which can also recover discs damaged by ARccOS:
ddrescue -n -b 2048 /dev/dvd DVDBACKUP.iso.
2048 bytes is the block size of most DVDs. -- Gnomeza (talk) 14:48, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
