Combine with Quantum vortex and Fluxon pages?

[edit]

Should these pages all be combined, since (as far as I know) they are all about the same thing? Biscuitknees (talk) 22:59, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, topically the section about Quantum Vortex in superconductors is the same as the Abrikosov vortex article.
1. However, we need for sure "Abrikosov vortex" page to be found as this is standard keyword that many students search for.
2. Also, the Abrikosov vortex page can be extended to discuss the vortices in thin films (Pearls Vortices) and I am not sure that one wants to insert such a big chunk of text into general Quantum Vortex article.
3. Following this line of thoughts, there are also quantized vortices in Josephson junctions (JJ). Should they be included into Quantum vortices article too? I think not as text but just as a reference. In addition, in JJ there are unquantized vortices such as semifluxons.
I would limit the whole story by proper interlinking. Edward (talk) 11:42, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
