Untitled section[edit]

I'm curious about how apic is managed by amd64 processors, especially dual core ones. Where could I find a good pace on this? 213.203.155.31 15:40, 21 June 2007 (UTC)tcd.[reply]

Look out for possible copyright violations in this article[edit]

This article has been found to be edited by students of the Wikipedia:India Education Program project as part of their (still ongoing) course-work. Unfortunately, many of the edits in this program so far have been identified as plain copy-jobs from books and online resources and therefore had to be reverted. See the India Education Program talk page for details. In order to maintain the WP standards and policies, let's all have a careful eye on this and other related articles to ensure that no material violating copyrights remains in here. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 20:12, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Intel APIC[edit]

First of all, since this is capitalized it's a proper name, so it's referring to the Intel one, rather than being generic. Second, OpenPIC, doesn't have an article so this WP:CONCEPTDAB isn't really needed. Someone not using his real name (talk) 16:17, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Totally agreed, merging Intel APIC Architecture into Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller is the way to go. — Dsimic (talk | contribs) 02:10, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. I'm gonna do that. I think I'll spin off the OpenPIC and MPIC in their own page. I thought OpenPIC wasn't used, but it found new life as MPIC. Someone not using his real name (talk) 09:13, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Nice work! Splitting off separate OpenPIC and MPIC article is totally fine, as basically they're a competing technology to the Intel's APIC. — Dsimic (talk | contribs) 21:07, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like this is also a candidate for merger due to its shortness. There doesn't seem to be a separate article for xAPIC, by the way. 188.27.81.64 (talk) 04:27, 12 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
