GAN[edit]

Issues:

  • Lead: "The Asian Dynasties achieved gold status on September 28, 2007.[1] The demo version of the game was released on October 4, 2007,[7] while the full version was released in North America on October 23, 2007.[1] The game was generally received well by critics, with an 80% score on Game Rankings and Metacritic.[8][9] " – What is ‘gold status’ and why should anyone care? What makes the release of the demo so special (was there early reaction to it?) What were some general praise/complaints about the expansion? (Also funnels into development- you mention it was a partnership with Big Huge Games and Ensemble, that could certainly be mentioned in the lead.)
  • Going to suggest that you reorganize reception into aggregates, positive and negative sections instead of by reviewer like you have now, see Halo 3, et al.
  • The entire changes section isn’t helpful for someone who’s never played the video game. I suggest a short introduction into the gameplay (in the lead as well) as well as a link to perhaps the parent Age of Empires III article section which describes it in more detail?

Alert to editors, so it doesn't get a GAR.[edit]

There's a missing citation and a completely uncited section. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 19:40, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

EDIT: Now I know what's wrong with it... It has the Japanese wonder under the control of the same person as the Chinese disiple! Can someone please replace this with a more realistic image? This one has obviously been staged using a mod or scenario editor (most likey and very possible in the standard scenario editor). And theres that fence thing near the shrine!

EDIT: OMG! How do I stop dashbot from removing this "non-free image" which is used in the article and so should be free?

The image is not free and cannot be shown on this talk page. Non-free images can never be used on talk pages. A link can be provided to the image, however. —C.Fred (talk) 00:17, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know the game, but if you say this is a more appropriate image, then that is fine. Images often get updated and changed as people find more appropriate ones. You don't need to discuss every change in an article before-hand. If someone disputes your change, that would be a time for a discussion - otherwise, it's find to go ahead and be WP:Bold.
As a tip for uploading images - find a similar image, and look at the documentation. That will help you complete the documentation on the image you upload. I have corrected the information on Modes. SilkTork *YES! 13:25, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Japanese campaign ending[edit]

I reworded the campaign like this. The last statement saying that he ran off was just wrong and WP:OR. The game at minimum leaves it open to interpretation, but I according to me, if anything, the game hinted the opposite...he chose to remain loyal despite knowing the truth. Either way, I erred on the side of caution and left it open. Also I found that this plot was either copied from or to the fandom site. Ugog Nizdast (talk) 19:26, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
