Tune Racer[edit]

If you look at the interviews on the audiosurf website is says that a game similar to it called 'tune racer' was made first by the same man. Being a wiki-virgin i dont wont to get my hands dirty but i think it should be included. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.65.100.70 (talk) 01:00, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The game is being sold and Steam and bundled with the Orange Box soundtrack. This should be mentioned in the article.

Added it, not perfect but it'll do for now I guess. --FrostedBitesCereal (talk) 21:45, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I added a mention of the Audiosurf Radio tab under the general overview. If anyone thinks it should go somewhere else, be my guest. --Brainninja (talk) 00:18, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Site Advertising In External Links[edit]

I noticed a lot of links building up in the external links section. Shouldn't those only be official sources, or links related to the article and not the actual game. Since it tends to be just plain advertising. --FrostedBitesCereal (talk) 20:50, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That tends to happen a lot. The general practice is one fansite, but only if it's comprehensive. I can see killing the reviews and video sites, I'll grant, though the stats site...outside the fact that a number of THOSE sites have popped up, such a site should be ok, I'd think. For now, I'll kill all but the top three (the official ones). ♫ Melodia Chaconne ♫ (talk) 21:50, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So What the hell?[edit]

It says compete with people and their songs, right? And how the hell am i supposed to do that. By loading the exact song that they have and pray? Or how about the opposite, I Load a song and how are folks gona compete to that!?

I'm gonna assume good faith and simply figure you don't understand how it works based on the article and not having played it...well basically, you play a track. It uses the ID tags in your music, and puts it on a scoreboard, and you compete with everyone else through score, not in real time. It's just a scorebaord, is all. ♫ Melodia Chaconne ♫ (talk) 00:20, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Points[edit]

The point scoring system is quite complex with the chaining and stuff... I wonder if there's any place to get more details about scoring? Bzzhuh (talk) 10:05, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, a very detailed place. go to it! Sudoku424 (talk) 17:28, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki[edit]

The wiki that i have added to the main page is the only wiki that Dylan recognizes at the moment. So, please don't delete it due to "fansite". Sudoku424 (talk) 17:30, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Slight Correction[edit]

Ironmode makes it faster (hence the different layout) and adds the harsh penalty for overfilling. It also removes the special functions the Mono Elite character has (not the Mono Pro). And it removes the shoulder lanes if applicable. 58.170.95.23 (talk) 14:48, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Full Versin only available through Steam?[edit]

Then what the hell have i just bought in Gamestation? Machine758 (talk) 15:09, 18 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome to correct it. Nifboy (talk) 15:11, 18 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Audiosurf isn't up for sale on Gamestation..but yes it's only on Steam if you bought it anywhere else, you were ripped off or received an illegal copy. --FrostedBitesCereal (talk) 15:30, 18 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong, actually. They have relised a disk copy in the UK. It's in game and gamestation At the moment. Skullbird11 (talk) 15:31, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Who is 'they'? It's never been once mentioned on the official AS board, and ANY help even the dev has given suggests a fix using Steam. ♫ Melodia Chaconne ♫ (talk) 16:03, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There were 10 disks made for a convention Dylan went to, but all they contained were activation codes for Steam. So far, he has at least not told us that he released it on disk, and I would think that the the people on the Audiosurf Forums would be the first ones to know about it. We're the first to know about everything else. I would say that at the moment any news of disk versions is either untrue or illegal, as noone else has the rights to release a disk version. Sudoku424 (talk) 21:47, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
All right, we have now gotten confirmation from Lebeth that it is a legal version, but it is no different from the Steam version, except that it doesn't require Steam. Sudoku424 (talk) 22:28, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind, it installs Steam on your computer if you don't have Steam. So, this version is really only for those who can't seem to pay through Steam, for whatever reason. Sudoku424 (talk) 22:49, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

To sum it up, Audiosurf is no longer only available through Steam, but it still requires Steam. Sudoku424 (talk) 22:49, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Company name[edit]

Where does "Invisible Handlebar" come from? On Steam it's "BestGameEver". —Preceding unsigned comment added by Howe I. Shotweb (talkcontribs) 18:30, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Audiosurf Tilt / Audiosurf: Tilt[edit]

It would appear that most people believe that the Zune HD version of the game has a colon in the title. It's listed on the Zune Marketplace as "Audiosurf Tilt". I have changed it back to this name, but if there is some naming convention or something that causes its proper title to contain a colon, please say something so I won't keep changing it. BaboonOfTheYard (talk) 05:03, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Italicized title[edit]

Why is the article's title italicized? This isn't common in Wikipedia. --Joseph123454321 (talk) 11:38, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it is. -- I need a name (talk) 14:01, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not playable by 10% of males?[edit]

Please could someone add to the article, whether the game is playable by the one in ten males who have colour vision deficiency (colour blindness). Many games which involve colour matching also include other clear indicators, such as shape or pattern, to allow the huge number of colourblind users to play. For example, many 3-in-a-row jewel-matching games use jewels of different shapes such as hexagons, diamonds, lozenges etc. How do colourblind users play this Audiosurf?
