Too much random data[edit]

The first two paragraphs are good, they explain what BEOL means. The rest of the article is just a collection of trivia without organization. Having a section that explains how the number of layers has grown over the years could certainly be useful, but it shouldn't just be a random selection of chips that isn't even listed in historical order. Compare with the matching FEOL article.

Several statements seem utter nonsense: "As of 2011, many commercial processes support 2 or 3 metal layers". That is only true in the sense that in 2011 most cars could go 25 km/h. 2 or 3 layers was the late 80s to early 90s. In 2011, 6 to 12 layers was more likely, and in 2016 new processes have 10 to 15 layers. 2602:306:CEAE:E60:6020:C6EA:9A5D:7051 (talk) 20:46, 17 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
