Abuse[edit]

An on going edit war continues to occur between the students and the staff of Bayview Glen. The page is often slurred in rubbish and shortly after either deleted by one of our administrators or deleted by an alert Bayview Glen staff member. The staff also attempt to prevent information pertaining to the schools current operations from being published here. It is highly likely that my current edit will be deleted by a staff member. I adivse that in the case this does happen the article be reverted back to its current form. If the staff wish to add more "favourable" information to the article they may do so, it is however not within their right to with hold information unilaterally. Thank you for your anticipated co-operation to maintaining a well balanced page free of abuse from either party.

  • If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly or redistributed by others, do not submit it.
  • Respect other contributors. Wikipedia contributors come from many different countries and cultures, and have widely different views. Treating others with respect is key to collaborating effectively in building an encyclopedia. (See Wikipedia:Civility, Wikipedia:Etiquette, Dispute resolution.)
  • Avoid bias. Articles should be written from a neutral point of view, representing views fairly, proportionately and without bias.

A more in depth analysis from Dispute Resolution

  • Be respectful to others and their points of view. This means primarily: Do not simply revert changes in a dispute. When someone makes an edit you consider biased or inaccurate, improve the edit, rather than reverting it. Provide a good edit summary when making significant changes that other users might object to. The revision you would prefer will not be established by reverting, and repeated reverting is forbidden; discuss disputed changes on the talk page. If you encounter rude or inappropriate behavior, resist the temptation to respond unkindly, and do not make personal attacks.

In reference to reverting changes, it is a common event and must stop as it violates Wikipedia's Official Policy -- Andreas Tuesday, 2007-02-06 T 04:45 UTC

Overhaul[edit]

This article is in need of some serious work. Parts of it sound like they were written by the school's publicist while others sound like they were written by disaffected students. The section on the Capital Campaign is purely conjectural.

I'm kind of new to Wikipedia, so I'm uncomfortable with re-writing long segments of text, but some help would be appreciated.

I will try to get this sorted out. -Icewedge (talk) 01:30, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Any Canadian school that attempts to charge over $300,000 for a child's education does not deserve an article on wikipedia. This is an affront to the most basic and intrinsic principles of our society. I agree that this is more of an advertising page than actual worthwhile content on wikipedia. They should be drumming up their $20,000+ tuition elsewhere--Wikipedia is not the appropriate forum. Adtrace (talk) 07:27, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:BVGfuture3.jpg[edit]

Image:BVGfuture3.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
