Merger proposal[edit]
Formal request has been received to merge the article Stack Square into Blaenavon Ironworks; dated: September 2018. Proposer's Rationale: The square is located within the ironworks site and there is section called Coal House that duplicates content. Pinging proposer @Londonclanger: Discuss here. - Support this - it makes little sense to have them as separate articles given they're part of the same site historically and managed by the same agency now and the stories are intimately entangled. Geopersona (talk) 09:05, 1 October 2018 (UTC)
- Merge and redirect Appearance in Coal House goes some way to supporting notability for Stack Square, but there's no real independence from Blaenavon Ironworks.
- We might go for a separate article on the basis of it as a museum today and the cottage contents (if it was outside the ironworks it would easily be notable as such), however being on site, it's more of a gallery and section within the contemporary ironworks article. - Incidentally, the Ironworks article could easily and usefully be five times its current size. Still with other articles for Blaenavon overall (the scope of the World Heritage site), Garnddyrys Forge, Big Pit etc. as well Andy Dingley (talk) 09:30, 1 October 2018 (UTC)
