Character Name In Tropic Thunder[edit]

I don't have any referenced material to add to this article, but I was wanted to add the speculation that Brandon Soo Hoo's character was named after Dr. Tran. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.218.31.218 (talk) 01:50, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ethnicity[edit]

Uh yeah. "American" child actor leaves out an important information: his ethnicity. If someone can find a citable source, please include it. All I know is that, despite him being cast for a Japanese kid in GI Joe, he's CLEARLY not Japanese. He stinks at speaking Japanese and his last name doesn't fly for Japanese in a million years. Since it would take two hanzi to spell his surname (and that's REALLY weird for modern Chinese), I'm going to go with Korean American. Source, anyone? 210.253.243.157 (talk) 18:21, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He was speaking Korean in the GI Joe movie and Madarin in Tropic Thunder, but his last name is clearly chinese. Other forms of this same last name is Seto, Soohoo, Szeto. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cc888 (talkcontribs) 07:18, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
