Article name[edit]

Any particular reason why this article is not just called "Buddy's Song"? Is there some other topic that might be known by that name? If there is then I can't find it - Buddy's Song just redirects here. I can't find evidence of this article having been moved, so I wonder whether we might just move it to have that title. Any thoughts? Leevclarke (talk) 20:45, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rating history[edit]

I decided to add this section in case of any speculation. According the film's article on the website of the British Board of Film Classification the film had a 12 certificate in its theatrical release but was re-rated PG on home video. It also states that all known versions of the work were passed uncut. I contacted the BBFC about this and in their reply they stated that the video version was cut before its submission so the cuts were not made by the board. According to their records, the scenes altered were the character Elaine exposing her breasts and the assault in the garage (presumably Des King Breakers). I have seen both versions of the film and have noticed that Des King's first howl of pain, and the corresponding cutscene featuring a closeup of his hands being jammed in a filing cabinet, is removed from the assault scene in the PG version.Tk420 (talk) 14:22, 20 January 2018 (UTC)-edited[reply]

Year of the film[edit]

The article to this film often labels it a 1991 film although the copyright year in the credits is 1990. According to the British Board of Film Classification the theatrical cut was rated on 17 December 1990 and the video cut was rated on 06 August 1991. According to a Google search, the film's release date (presumably theatrical) in the United Kingdom was 01 March 1991. By the sound of it, the film was completed the calendar year preceding its release. Tk420 (talk) 20:23, 18 September 2018 (UTC)-edited[reply]
