Requested move[edit]

Carl Benjamin EielsonCarl Ben Eielson — People have moved this back and forth between Carl Eielson and Carl Benjamin Eielson so the redirect has history, but Carl Ben Eielson is the way he is almost always known, as shown in the usage in the article itself, the referenced book about him, the schools named after him, and the Eielson Air Force Base history on its website. It really shouldn't be controversial under our naming conventions. —Gene Nygaard 07:12, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support as nominator. The Eielson Air Force Base history can be found in a .pdf file here. Gene Nygaard 07:19, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - As a North Dakotan, I've heard plenty about Eielson and I have really only ever heard him called Carl Ben...never Carl Benjamin. It also appears as though anything that has been named after him uses the "Carl Ben Eielson" wording. --MatthewUND(talk) 07:50, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Type of CBE's plane?[edit]

Could someone please answer what type of plane did Eielson fly during his Arctic flight? (I've heard that he flew a Lockheed Vega 5, but I can't be sure, that's why I'm asking.) Thanks, and clear skies to all of you!
