Sexual Assault[edit]

What do you mean we don't know whether she was assaulted? The episode ended with her getting drugged and waking up in a motel naked, and getting evidence off of herself. Even if it wasn't a "knife against her throat" kind of assaulting it was still a sexual assault. Also, I agree with ThuranX. This should be in her biography. "Catherine" vs "Willows"[edit]

Articles about the male characters of CSI refer to them by their surnames, but why does this article and the one for Sara Sidle refer to them (rather patronizingly) by their first names? I'd like to fix it or, more accurately, restore it to how it was a few months back. BryanEkers 07:39, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is generally how they're referred to on the show as well. Male characters are called by their surnames by the other characters while the female characters are more often called by their first names. --Bookworm857158367 14:11, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not always true. Nick and Warrick are mostly addressed by their first names on the show, as is Greg. The exception (damn him for complicating this debate) is Ecklie, who refers to the team (except Catherine and Gil) by their surnames: "Brown", "Sidle" etc. Editus Reloaded 09:08, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why was the image in the infobox removed? It was copyrighted but fair use, as it was promotional material, did not impinge on potential profits of the copyright holder, and is used to illustrate the subject of the article.Editus Reloaded 09:11, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Family table[edit]

Does this page really require an entire table for her family members, especially since all the important ones are listed in other parts of the article? I have removed the entire table, as it doesn't comply with Wikipedia formats for characters, and also looks like a "trivia" section under Wikipedia rules. I have also requested temp page protection to prevent it from being replaced by the BT IP addresses that also changed Catherine's last name to "Vartann" and has rearranged cast tables in other shows (CSI, Homicide: Life on the Street and others) to reflect their favorite characters. Relationships: Warrick and Catherine -- no love for the Yo!Bling?[edit]

I think this article underplays the relationship between Catherine and Warrick, especially the facts that (1) the flirtation renewed after his divorce in Season 8 ("A La Cart"), (2) Catherine really took Warrick's death hard, to the point that she sought counseling (revealed in Season 11), and (3) there's an entire fanfic universe/YouTube homemade mix world out there devoted to Yo!Bling, which is apparently what the dear sweet children are calling the Catherine/Warrick ship.Marguerite de Navarre (talk) 06:23, 6 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Academic coverage[edit]

The deletion discussion for this article is focusing on the character's notability. I plugged "Catherine Willows" into Google Scholar and got a few results. As with other sources, some of them turn out to be about the show itself and merely mention the character, but a few focus on her or her and a few other characters as characters. Perhaps someone with university access or a JSTOR subscription could evaluate them.
