Untitled[edit]

I added some statistics from KASKI - - these were published in the press,so there should be no issues with copyright and added the link to the KASKI organization (that is linked to the Catholic University of Nijmegen)....unfortunately the KASKI webpages are in Dutch and I assume not all readers will be able to read these pages. Rich Roman Life/ Rijke Roomse leven[edit]

The book of the same name bij Michel van der Plas does not support the interpretation that the Rich Roman Life is a reference to the wealth of the Catholic institutions. This is a false reference and a big misinterpretation. I have read the book and I do not believe it at all until a page number with a quote from that page appear. Andries (talk) 18:33, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The rich roman life is a reference to the fact that Catholic in the Netherlands used to be colorful, consisted of many facets, had their own clubs, influenced private lives of adherents to a great extent, etc. It is not a reference to the wealth of Catholic organizations. Recent incidents[edit]

Recent indicidents without proven historical significance as written in secondary sources about the Catholic church should not be mentioned. Andries (talk) 18:33, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have also removed an incident that I wrote myself. Andries (talk) 18:45, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What could be written, which is not an incident, is the plan by Van Eijk to close many churches.Andries (talk) 18:45, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Roman Catholicism in the NetherlandsCatholic Church in the Netherlands – In consistancy with other equivalent articles, including Catholic Church, Catholic Church in England and Wales, Catholic Church in the United States, etc. Chicbyaccident (talk) 14:14, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I note that there is also the Old Catholic Church in the Netherlands so there is a risk of confusion between churches that consider themselves the Catholic Church. More seriously I'm a bit concerned that this is a mass renaming of articles without a common discussion point and without the multiple move template. --Erp (talk) 22:34, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The Old Catholic Church is called the Old Catholic Church, so that pretty much settles it, I suppose quite a few would argue. There are multiple individual proposals but I haven't seen anyone doing a mass request. Chicbyaccident (talk) 04:34, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Why should this be different from the 163 other articles in the Category:Roman Catholic Church by country? Laurel Lodged (talk) 12:13, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Since this was not properly proposed as a multiple name change which is necessary given the number of article name changes proposed (and probably more). I also note for this specific article that the official Dutch name is rooms-katholiek kerkgenootschap [or kerk] in Nederland or in other words Roman Catholic Church/denomination in the Netherlands --Erp (talk) 12:54, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
