Origin[edit]

The article doesn't give a foundation date. I wonder if this school was opened during the Chislehurst and Sidcup Urban District era; hence its name?

MRSC 14:43, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

|To my knowledge this is correct. The school was originally founded in what is know the 'Bexley Music Centre' in the 30s, it then moved to what is now Kemnal Technology School and eventually to its current site.

Antikewl (talk) 15:58, 23 November 2007 (UTC) The book, Past Purple by Charles Wells, indicates that the school was founded in 1931. I have added this to the entry.[reply]

Is Patrick Swayze really the headteacher of Chis n Sid now? Times have changed since I was there! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.168.79.150 (talk) 12:36, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This page is constantly being vandalised... by both students, teachers, and ex-teachers. Grow up! (Midnightblueowl (talk) 19:37, 11 September 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Why as a grammar school are there no academic departments of note????? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.146.134.9 (talk) 14:30, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is this article being tampered with by teachers at this school?[edit]

HOW COME THE RECENT CRITISMS OF THIS SCHOOL HAS BEEN REMOVED.. I HAD CITED AND RE THAT MANY OPINIONS HAD BEEN PROVIDED PAINTING A CLEAR AND TRUE PICTURE... I BELIEVE THE "ELITE" FACTION OF SENOIRS HAVE CONSPIRED AGAIN! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.13.71.210 (talk) 10:10, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This page is constantly being filled with both anti-Chis and Sid management and pro-Chis and Sid arguments. Remember please, WIKIPEDIA IS NUETRAL! So, all those angry students who highly dislike the new SLT, leave you opinions out of the article, and the same to members of the SLT, Wikipedia is not a place for your propaganda. Thank you. (Midnightblueowl (talk) 19:35, 11 September 2008 (UTC))[reply]
Surely the inclusion of anti-chis and sid arguments by students serves to prove the point being made that morale has declined, therefore not violating neutrality in any way? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.77.156.189 (talk) 22:37, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Chis 'n' Sid[edit]

Citation has been requested for this usage. The school itself uses it, albeit in the slightly more erudite "Chis & Sid" Head's introduction http://www.csgrammar.com/content.asp?cat=2&sub=59 Prospectus http://www.csgrammar.com/documents/prospectus/csgs_prospectus_2012_admissions.pdf The Chis 'n' Sid version certainly widely used (even appears once in the prospectus, and frequently in school parents newsletters, also online). Not sure whether/how this could be cited. Any references in 'Past Purple'? Davidships (talk) 02:32, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Headmasters[edit]

I recall Richard Pedley's nickname as "Dick" rather than "Rick". Does "Past Purple" clarify? Davidships (talk) 00:44, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

According to Past Purple, it was indeed "Dick" rather than "Rick". Midnightblueowl (talk) 21:44, 12 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
