We are aware that the wording on Cornish entries can sometimes be a contentious topic, especially those concerning geography. These pages are not platforms for political discussion. Issues relating to Cornish politics should be restricted to those pages that directly deal with these issues (such as Constitutional status of Cornwall, Cornish nationalism, etc) and should not overflow into other articles.

How is the place pronounced? I presumed at first that it would be stressed on the first syllable (first two syllables rhyming with "liver", last one like the -ton in, say, "glutton"), but if it's from a Cornish name then perhaps it's stressed on the second - perhaps rhyming with "Burton"? -- pne(talk) 14:05, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
