I'm aware that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed attended school here, but is he really a "Distinguished Alumni Recipient?" Roland Deschain 07:21, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, that was a mistake. He did not even earn a diploma. But, he did attend the school and that SHOULD be noted in the Chowan article. Malan89 21:30, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that he should be mentioned in the article and he is very notable.Toddst1 19:14, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Seriously? He should be mentioned in the article? He attended for one semester, and is therefore not even considered "alumni" since he never graduated. His inclusion in this article is dubious, at best. 129.7.216.212 (talk) 23:40, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
He was previously listed (back in 2007) as "other former students" and he is indeed notable. His attendance at Chowan is also notable per the Washington Post and any number of other sources. I've restored it to a more appropriate heading. Toddst1 (talk) 01:22, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notable alumni[edit]

Per WP:ALUMNI, "[a]lumni to be included should meet Wikipedia notability criteria". The best way to guarantee that is to only include alumni who have already had an article created about them. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 20:02, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
