A biased Article[edit]

This article is obviously biased for Christianity and against Theosophy. It´a kind of Christian propaganda. This should be marked in some way. Wikipedia requires a neutral point of view (NPOV), and that principle is violated in this article. Alexandramander (talk) 15:27, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Very incomplete and biased article[edit]

This article lacks perspective and objective neutrality.

First, theosophy was a term used already by Jacob Boehme, even by St. Paul and the school of Dionysius the Aeropagite (source: Rudolf Steiner's GA). Furthermore, the division between the theosophical society and the teachings of esoteric Christianity came about through the manipulations of certain groups on the person of Blavatsky and her teachings. This has been explained postfactum by the likes of C.G. Harrison and Rudolf Steiner. The latter founded anthroposophy as a result of the pollution of the brandname of theosophy and the teachings of spiritual science. Anyone who cares about the truth would at least read Rudolf Steiner's extensive coverage of what happened with the stream of theosophy around the end 19 and early 20th century, what really happened to Blavatsky upto the Krishnamurti case which led to Steiner stepping out of the theosophical society and movement. In short, the original theosophy of before Blavatsky was including Christianity, the divide happened since the end of 19th century and was the result of deliberate cultivation by certain groups.

The article is erroneous in trying to sketch a theosophy that does not have the concept of a highest divinity, by taking a few lines out of context. The concept of God has many names in different languages and cultures, in theosophy the three logoi correspond to the christian concept of the trinity. Many other errors in the article may point to the fact that author(s) did not have the complete or necessary knowledge or background, as a result the article especially converts opinion rather than historical facts or truths. Illustrations: Franz Hartmann wrote a book about the life of Christ-Jesus, Anna Kingsford 'The Perfect Way' is also part of the theosophical stream but before the Blavatsky happenings, etc. No need for further comments, point made.
