Iohan Philpott de Sonk

[edit]

I see that the Commons images for the church include this one for a transcription of a plaque for "Iohan Philpott de Sonk", died in 1666 (?) I assume the original plaque is somewhere inside the church and that he was in some way related to Mary Philpotts, whose chest tomb in the churchyard is listed. and who is described as " wife of John Philpotts of Llangunnock". As an "image" I'm not sure it's suitable for the Gallery, as it's very much WP:OR. But might be useful for research purposes. Martinevans123 (talk) 12:08, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

I would definitely go for a Gallery. I’m not a great fan of a string of images descending below the infobox. KJP1 (talk) 16:43, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Fine by me. A shame there are so few of the interior at Commons. Martinevans123 (talk) 17:13, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Done. And very nice it looks, although some better/more interior shots would be good. The font is hardly displaying at its best! KJP1 (talk) 18:17, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but it could also be added here and here! Martinevans123 (talk) 18:20, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I’m not too impressed by the radiator, the pile of old newspapers, or the guidebooks either! Good to see the church values its 14th-century treasures. KJP1 (talk) 20:33, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
