Extended-confirmed-protected edit request on 16 September 2018[edit]

Change "Its buildings are fundamentally unsafe due to the Bright Tribe Trust taking public money intended for repairs and safety work, and then never completing the work" to "A BBC Panorama investigation broadcast in September 2018 suggested that some work, funded from public money, was not completed in the Academy's Sports Centre."

Done, that's certainly far more neutral than what it said previously. Fish+Karate 09:30, 17 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Colchester academy changed trust name. South Suffolk Learning trust is now rebranded into Penrose Learning Trust

If you give me access to edit this i could add more information about this school if you please Trxcmd (talk) 10:00, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Trxcmd: I have managed to find confirmation of the change of trust name, so I shall make that change. Thanks for pointing that out. As for letting you edit the article, I don't think I can make an exception for an editor on the basis of one edit to a talk page, but I will consult the administrator who imposed the protection about the possibility of either removing the protection or reducing it to a lower level. In the meanwhile I suggest that you mention here some of the changes you would like to make. Also, if you have a personal connection to the school you need to declare that connection, and you should probably not edit the article directly, as explained at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. @Trxcmd: When I went to contact the administrator who imposed the protection, I discovered that he had his administrative rights revoked several years ago, and has not been active on Wikipedia for some time. I therefore made a decision myself. I have reduced the protection to "autonfirmed", which means that you will be able to edit the article once you have had an account for at least four days and made at least ten edits. However, you should still read the conflict of interest guideline before editing if you do have a connection to the school. JBW (talk) 11:06, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
