Requested Updates to Community Health Systems page[edit]

  • What I think should be changed (include citations):

Community Health Systems (CHS) is a Fortune 500 company based in Franklin, Tennessee. Since 2014, the company has significantly refined its portfolio from a high of 206 hospitals in 29 states to hold 85 hospitals in 16 states in 2021. The hospitals are primarily concentrated in suburban and urban communities in growing Sunbelt states. Chief Operating Officer Tim Hingtgen became CEO on January 1, 2021, succeeding long-time CEO Wayne T. Smith who transitioned to executive chairman of the company’s board. On October 3, 2016, CHS was removed from the S&P Midcap 400 and added to the S&P Smallcap 600. Chinese billionaire Tianqiao Chen had a 9.2 percent stake in Community Health Systems as of January 20, 2021, down from the previous high of 22.2 percent in 2017.

SIDEBAR FACTS Key people: Tim Hingtgen (CEO) Kevin Hammons (CFO) Revenue $11.789 billion (2020) Operating Income $3.1 billion (2020) Net income $511 million (2020) Total assets $16 million (2020) Number of employees 67,000 (2020)

  • Why it should be changed:

My suggested edits are based on more recent articles and corporate SEC filings and solely update the current contents. I'm still learning the Wikipedia rules and apologize in advance for any process errors I've made in this request to edit.

A t h e n a, I am closing this as not done Red XN since the requested edits are not clear (where you want the changes to make) and it appears promotional about the organization. Please follow the edit request format as prescribed in edit request guidelines.Chirota (talk) 19:37, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
A t h e n a, The edits suggested are not clear. Please see this section which suggests to clearly mention where you want to make the edit and what you want to substitute/remove/add and why. Also, the edit request in its present form is not implementable because apart from its being not clear it suffering from promotional wording and not complying encyclopedic tone. Example of promotional phrases - is a Fortune 500 company, the company has significantly refined its portfolio, long-time CEO Wayne T, transitioned to executive chairman, Chinese billionaire. Hope this clears the doubt. Chirota (talk) 21:26, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
