DYK for Charles A. Bevilacqua[edit]

On 1 May 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Charles A. Bevilacqua, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that US Navy Seabee Charles A. Bevilacqua (pictured) was Chief Builder of the original South Pole station? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Charles A. Bevilacqua. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Charles A. Bevilacqua), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Your hook reached 8,506 views (708.8 per hour), making it one of the most viewed hooks of May 2021 – nice work!

Don't Apologize[edit]

It's fine that you pinged me. I honestly don't mind it at all (unless it's on Discord, then please don't). Blaze The Wolf | Proud Furry and Wikipedia Editor (talk) 00:53, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Blaze The Wolf, thanks for your message. Actually, the two usernames seemed too close, so I misread an edit history which lead me pinging you. I will keep in mind about the discord thing. lol. Best. Chirota (talk) 00:56, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You did ping me correctly, the other person you didn't. Blaze The Wolf | Proud Furry and Wikipedia Editor (talk) 02:33, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I did np them as I left a message in their user talk page too about the issue, so I thought pining in the article talk page will be redundant. Thanks Chirota (talk) 01:29, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Scottish Family Party[edit]

Hey Chiro. Thanks for that. Honestly, I looked at the categories and wasn't sure which to pick, it was an error on my part. I lodged the original AfD so I should know which one to choose! Thanks again x doktorb wordsdeeds 06:22, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Doktorbuk, no worries at all. You are most welcome. I noticed you were the nominator of the earlier AfD and anticipated it might just be a slip of mouse. Best Chirota (talk) 19:21, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Requested Updates to Community Health Systems page - closed out?[edit]

I apologize for not being clear in where the edits are requested. This is the first time I'm using this process - am I to copy all of the current copy and then somehow track changes? I've been trying to figure out the right way to do this. A t h e n a (talk) 20:20, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Image swap on Vaccine Research Center page[edit]

Hi Chiro725. Thank you for your note. I thought I used the proper 'edit request' function to submit an edit request for the VRC page, with my COI, but if there is a different function I should use, please do let me know. Also, is there an example of 'reasonable rationale' for a photo swap. The idea was to include the image of the Center Director on the page. Thanks again.

Flower231, you have used the right template, but failed to use the right format. Please see this section which suggests to clearly mention where you want to make the edit and what you want to substitute and why. The 'reasonable rationale' I asked for is to clear why you want this change to make. I noticed you made another edit request with different changes but did not disclose your conflict of interest yet, which is a mandatory discloser. Until and unless you make the discloser and make the edit request in proper format, it is less likely to be implemented. Chirota (talk) 21:15, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Chiro725, I tried to follow the links and create a COIuserbox message on my page. Please let me know if I followed the template incorrectly as I'm very new to this. Thanks again for your help. Should I resubmit the Dr. Mascola photo insertion which is meant to replace Dr. Sullivan now, and the addition of historical photos edit request or leave them as is? Thanks again. Flower231 (talk) 23:37, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Flower231 the disclosure is almost perfect. You can remove the nowiki tags from the code in your user page to get the appearance of the template. Regarding the edit request there is no need for additional edit requests but you requested for four images to be inserted which can be made under a gallery section if you ask me. Please respond to the edit request suggestions in the article talk page. Chirota (talk) 02:01, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Chiro725, the image gallery looks great. I've added another edit request to add one more Presidential visit the grouping. It would be placed before Pres Obama to remain in chronological order. I also wanted to ask about the previous edit request regarding adding the image of Dr. Mascola, the Center Director. Also, I found the nowiki tags template pg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Nowiki but I couldn't figure out which character I should remove on my page. Thanks again so much for your help. Flower231 (talk) 19:08, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Reply at the article talk page please beneath your edit request. Also, regarding your COI declaration it is needed to declare your connection with Vaccine Research Center Chirota (talk) 23:29, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why BALMA article is being considerate for deletion?[edit]

Hello Chiro725, i would like to what protocol and guideline was not followed by me in creating the article that it will be considered to deletion? You just left the warning but no reason why did you do it.

Thanks for you time, (EdmBrasil Talk) 22:36, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

EdmBrasil, the article was speedy deleted under WP:CSD WP:G11 and WP:A7 criteria few days back. You recreated the article without addressing the notability concerns raised previously. The subject doesn't appear to meet criteria of notability for musicians so it was taken to deletion discussion. If you feel the article deserves to stay, you can participate there but before that I strongly recommend you to go through criteria of notability for musicians, what is reliable source and what is general notability criteria. Donald Meichenbaum page[edit]

Hi Yes I do have a conflict of interest as I'm currently working with Dr Meichenbaum - and a whole bunch of us noticed that Wikipedia was missing a page on him. However all edits are fully cited and the lack of page on Meichenbaum is just a gaping hole for any student of the history of CBT, PTSD, stress & coping, resilience, anger control etc.

I welcome you making changes - however I think you see that we need to make a start on page about Don Meichenbaum. Please feel fee to create the page yourself but please do not remove it without giving reasons. Clearly simply the number of refs within Wikipedia point to a need for a page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Abhinava1962 (talkcontribs) 20:49, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Abhinava1962, thanks for your confirmation. In case if you have an Conflict of Interest, you are not supposed to create the article in the main space about the subject or edit any page which is related to the subject. For details, read Conflict of Interest Guidelines. Also, you are required to make a disclaimer in the user page about the Conflict of interest, which is mandatory. You can, at most submit the article through the process of Article for Creation for other editors and reviewers to accept the article, since you have the COI with the subject. Regarding the changes made to the article, the edit summary will tell you why the edits were made. Also, please remain aware that in Wikipedia none owns any article, the article may be about Dr Meichenbaum, but it is not owned by him or anyone having COI with him. Collaboration on Playboy Enterprises edit requests[edit]

Hi, Zach from PLBY Group here. Thanks for your assistance with my requests on the Playboy Enterprises Talk page last month. I'm reaching out to ask if you're available for further collaboration there. I haven't had any other editors weigh in on the remaining portion of my Updates to history request regarding store openings. I'm also looking for someone to review my open request for the Playboy magazine article, in case you're interested. Thanks again for the help! PLBY ZG (talk) 00:56, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sherwin-Williams controversies section[edit]

Hi User:Chiro725 - I realized in my reply to you on the Talk:Sherwin-Williams#Recent_controversies_section Talk page that I did not tag your username properly. I wanted to ping you directly here to let you know that I replied and completely agreed with your feedback and the edits made. In the same vein, I noticed another section that needed a quick update and wanted to see if you would consider reviewing my request? Thank you so much for your initial help on the page, and I just want to reiterate that I will refrain from making any updates myself due to my conflict of interest. Thank you so much! MiraSherwin-Williams (talk) 20:36, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

MiraSherwin-Williams, the edit request has been closed by another editor. Feel free to add another request just by crearly following X-Y rule and citing your previous request, I will take a look soon. Chirota (talk) 01:23, 20 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Chiro725! Thank you so much for your response. Per suggestion from Z1720, I have opened up an edit request specific to this topic and worked to clarify using the X-Y rule. If you have any questions or have other thoughts on how this could be handled please let me know. I am open to collaboration, learning and other opinions! I will continue to refrain from making edits myself due to my COI. Appreciate your time! Best, MiraSherwin-Williams (talk) 19:27, 30 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Creating new 2 articles[edit]

Hi Dear. Well,in the past you've been working on deletion (2 articles). For now i am asking you for help to edit and publish both articles. Many people here get sad when articles go to deletion section but you guys know why and how to perform it. So, i am here to ask you to help me. Creating a new article which you work on deletion, help me to improve the article, the sourcer. Could you be my mentor on this Journey ? I really want to became an user that work like you. So, let me know how to do it with you. Felipe Fanzeres (talk) 22:12, 19 September 2021 (UTC)Felipe Fanzeres[reply]

Felipe Fanzeres, thanks for your message. I am unable to recall the two articles you are referring to. From your talk page, it is clear you wanted to create a page for Oliver Mourao, which got deleted via a deletion discussion. It may be unfortunate, but this is how Wikipedia works. If the editors feel the article or the subject is not suitable for a Wikipedia page, the page will be removed. That's exactly what happened with Oliver Mourao, but I am not certain about the second page that you are referring to. However, it's a real concern as you have been asked multiple times about your potential Conflict of Interest with the subject Oliver Mourao, which you avoided answering. Admin Jimfbleak and myself left notes on your talk page. Please keep in mind, you must disclose any kind of relationship with the person. Chirota (talk) 02:51, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I got it Dear. I'm sorry. I remember that was marked as COI, but i do not know him. I just love his Art and i believe that his last article was a mess. So, i hope you can help me to fix and create a new one. A perfect article. The other one was MadHouse Duo, they are singers in Brazil and live in Ibiza. i would love to be mentoring by you. Felipe Fanzeres (talk) 00:21, 7 October 2021 (UTC)Felipe FanzeresFelipe Fanzeres (talk) 00:21, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nice to see your perseverance. But your focused interest only on Oliver Mourao till your last comment gives rise to the concern that you definitely have a COI. Did you read WP:MUSICBIO? If you haven't please read the same especially for Madhouse Duo. Also, if you are trying to recreate pages that have been deleted via deletion discussions, until and unless the reasons for deletion disappear it's not a right act to do. I would advise not to try to create pages that are not notable as decided by the Wikipedia Community. There are plenty of other pages on which you can concentrate if you really don't have a COI. Talk:Riak Edit[edit]

Hi Chiro, My apologies for bothering you but I wasn't sure on the correct way to go about it, so I figured since you replied to the last edit request on talk:Riak you may be able to help. I posted a request for a small edit on the Talk:Riak page a couple of weeks ago, I requested a formal review and declared CoI, and it appears the edit was checked, but no reply was given. I wondered if you could provide some insight into this.

Re: Daniel Vigne[edit]

Are you sure he's not notable enough? The guy got a Cesar. It's the French Oscar. --RopeOfSand (talk) 17:52, 23 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

RopeOfSand, please refer to WP:DIRECTOR, WP:RS, and WP:SIGCOV. Chirota (talk) 17:56, 23 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the links! WP:DIRECTOR says that a director is notable if one of his works "won significant critical attention." The Return of Martin Guerre (BTW a great film, I recommend it) meets that requirement. So what should I do? Copy the sources from the film's page to the director's page? That seems kind of silly. Shouldn't just mentioning the film be enough? --RopeOfSand (talk) 18:19, 23 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Chirota! Thank you for all the help at Pitney Bowes reviewing my recent requests. I'm sorry to bug, but I have one more request, though this one is quite a lot smaller! There are three updates I'm asking about: adding some awards, fixing "buzzword" tags by removing mention of "solutions", and a slight restructure by making the two subsections under History into their own sections.
