Merge proposal[edit]

I believe this article should be merged with microphone. Also, who decided to put noise music in quotes? That is both pretentious and unwelcome. Blue Dinosaur Jr 17:11, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

picking up sound from a solid is quite a different situation than sound from air : would you also merge Hydrophone with microphone ? That's just a rhetorical question - I wouldn't support either ! --195.137.93.171 (talk) 04:09, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
