Infobox and lead[edit]

  • Since the artwork for the Live version is used, maybe its release date should also be added to the infobox since readers will be curious.
  •  Done
  • "The song was co-produced and written solely by Swift, and co-produced by Jack Antonoff" --> "Swift co-produced the song with Jack Antonoff, and was the sole writer".
  •  Done
  • I am unsure if "to her" is necessary in the sentence about it being one of the most personal songs on Lover.
  •  Done, removed
  • The synthesizers being "lush" doesn't appear to be sourced in the lede or in the sample description. A source for this should be incorporated somewhere in the article. Also, stick to either "synth" or "synthesizers".
  • Removed it as it is seemingly POV, though it was mentioned in Time
  • The Uproxx list isn't lead-worthy to me.
  • I think it offers an interesting insight into how the song was received.
  • Optionally, I would also suggest removing the UK component chart from the lead. Use the space to say at what number it peaked in Australia, US and Canada instead.

Reception[edit]

  • Since this is titled just "Reception", maybe the stubby bit about its commercial performance could be moved at the end of this section?
  • Non-reviewer comment: When chartings are a completely separate matter from what critics think of something, I wouldn't recommend such a move as it would give a false impression that these elements are in some way connected. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 19:07, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • It is a bit unclear which critics picked it as a "career highlight". I think the claim about it being an album highlight is verifiable, though.
  • It was mentioned in Vox who said it was "Swift at her best". Regardless, I removed it since it could be undue weight
  • Looking at the Slate review, he does praise the production but I'm not seeing any explicit "prais[e of] the lyrics for featuring intricate details". So I would remove that bit. Also, it has been already established that Antonoff produced the song in prior sections so just "production" would suffice. There's also something about a reference to Toto in the lyrics that might be worth mentioning somewhere.
  • The previous paragraph mentioned something on Swift's lyrics ("Swift draws the listener as only she can into close-up lyrical movies of garden gates, vending machines, lovers’ spats, tearful phone calls, temporary splits, and erotic reconciliations. In most of them, she’s striving not to play the victim but to learn to make real apologies, to say “sorry” without the “but … .”), which is followed by "The finest of these is “Cornelia Street," so I think it is fair he is complimenting the lyrics here also.
  • Again, the Catucci ref isn't showing anything about "Cornelia Street" to me.

  • Instead of repeating Caramanica's last name, it could just say "he" in the second sentence.

Live performance[edit]

Looks good but the live performance wasn't an iTunes exclusive. It is available on Spotify, YouTube, etc. So just say it was released for digital download and link Music download.

Charts[edit]

  • As I said earlier, the paragraph would be fine at the end of "Reception". So only the table would be left here which looks okay.
  • Add archives to all of the references.
  • Earwig score is fine at 35.1%
  • Since there is a lot of discussion about the lyrics, maybe a Metrolyrics link could be added as an External link using the template.
