Leaked 2014 Membership Directory[edit]

Coordinating National Policy Group[edit]

I have seen the speeches and speakers shown by the CNP site section "past speeches", impressive, the who's who of the Neo-Conservative and The Christian Right speak openly and voice their opinion. The secrecy begets the question, why is it so? A site worth a look www.policycounsel.org

Two Entries - One Organization[edit]

Wikipedia has an entry for the COUNCIL FOR National Policy and for the COMMITTEE ON National Policy although there is only one organization. These two entries should be merged. LAWinans (talk) 00:16, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Scientology connection?[edit]

I'm not seeing in this piece any current support for the connection to Scientology. Older versions provide secondary source links indicating connections inferred via Gary Bauer, but the primary source for this seems to have been http://www.cephas-newsletter.net/ncp8.html which has fallen off the web on the one hand, and judging by other site material preserved at Archive.org was not a reliable source to begin with. This group's actual associations seem damning enough without drawing Scientology into it. I'm thus planning to remove the "Scientology" topics mentions. This seems noncontroversial; however, as some of my edits may be more controversial, and since bad habits of the CoS leave any edit removing connections to Scientology suspect by default, I'm documenting the change here on the Talk page. Relationship/collaboration with other right-wing organizations and individuals[edit]

Yes, there’s a close working relationship with the Federalist Society. I am unaware of any public connection with Opus Dei, but the CNP has put together a coalition of religious people from different Christian denominations, including Catholics. Unknown, but he is listed on their website as "policy counsel" from 2016, which I think means he gave a speech to the group. Keep in mind, the CNP is highly authoritarian, which means you’re either associated with them or you’re not, in which case you are probably out of a job. Mention of the 2021 United States Capitol attack[edit]

Yes, it should, particularly in regards to the numerous key players involved in the J6 insurrection that are also members of the CNP. Charlie Kirk and the TPUSA group, who helped bus in the insurrectionists, should be mentioned, as should Ginni Thomas, a board member who worked behind the scenes to stoke the fire of J6. Keep in mind, in the run up to the attacks, we have leaked documents and quotes from the group and its members saying they were prepared to go to battle. We now know that J6 was primarily a rally for Christian nationalists, who intended to undermine the US Constitution, revoke the rule of law, and restore the divine right of kings (Trump) under the command of their Christian god.
