Suggestions[edit]

1. Make articles or sections which separate the storyline and characters of the original manga and its screen adaptations. In particular, the developments of the main characters in the 2001 anime (The Cyborg Soldier) have been oddly spliced and cobbled into the character profiles section, making it hard to tell which events were in Ishinomori's original story and which were Cyborg Soldier fabrications.

2. Expand, expand, expand. If there's anyone who can contribute things related to the '60s anime version, the '70s anime version, the movie Chō Ginga Densetsu... anything... step right up!

3. Changing the title picture for more truthful for the series' artstyle. The current realistic styled artwork doesn't portray the true artstyle of the mangas and animes, since this image has been used only in one poster in 1980s movie advertisement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yogosan (talkcontribs) 17:18, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

4. Add something about the version that ran on Toonami on Cartoon Network. (circa 2004?) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.237.152.212 (talk) 09:23, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Further suggestions:

5. Move the infos from the "international releases" section to the respective media. The way it is now, it's hard to tell what media, what film or series etc. is meant.

6. Create separate articles for long infos in subsections like the episode list for the 2001-2002 TV series. It clutters the article and makes it too big and too long for a good read.

Astro Boy/Mighty Atom[edit]

In Making Comics (p226), comics theorist Scott McCloud draws a direct comparison between Cyborg 009 and Tezuka's Mighty Atom. He doesn't provide sources, but he claims that there's a clear Atom influence on 009, particularly visually. Worth mentioning? Kelvingreen 21:11, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tokyo Pop US Manga Release[edit]

Hi folks, I'm pretty sure the US release is more than what you refer to as the "first arc" here. They totally got into the Greek myth stuff and it goes up to the original ending where [spoilers]some main characters die.[/spoilers] US Tokyo Pop just never picked up with the retcon that undoes that original ending. The 10 volumes are not the same as the chapters listed here.

The 10 volumes from TokyoPop (which are now digital on comiXology) cover what is described here as the first and second arc. The 10th volume ends with 009 and 002 falling, seen as shooting star. Bisco (talk) 19:56, 6 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Name change[edit]

Do you think Plot should be changed to Story? There basically the same thing. Galefuun (talk) 22:51, 2 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
