Humor of Jesus[edit]

"Jesus said to a Canaanite woman asking for help, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to their dogs.” (Matthew 15:26 NIV)."

I don't think quoting this saying, isolated from its context depicts either the humor of Jesus or D. Elton Trueblood's interpretation. === Vernon White (talk) 15:21, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure how this works but a couple of factual errors. D. Elton Trueblood did not live the rest of his life in Richmond. Toward the end of his life he moved to a retirement community near Philadelphia to be closer to his children. He died there. Also, he knew Herbert Hoover before moving to Palo Alto. He met Hoover's son in Cambridge, Mas., while serving a brief stint as Harvard Chaplain and became friends with the former president through him. -- David E. Trueblood (D. Elton Trueblood's grandson) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.255.139.194 (talk) 14:20, 24 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
