Disruptive Edits[edit]

Seems to have been a run of disruptive edits on both this article and Lowestoft Sixth Form College. I'd rather not have to ask for protection for them, so if we could have some thought before editing it'd be helpful. In particular let's be very clear that Lowestoft College deals with FE students and the new Sixth Form college will deal with primarily 16-19 students - separate entities, although sharing a site and trying to be co-operative. I removed several questionable edits, some of which were contradictory CSDs (both original research and a copyvio? That's a tough combination to pull off). In addition, the CSD nominator did not inform the original editor. I rarely delete articles when that happens, and in this case, adds to the likelihood it was vandalism.--SPhilbrickT 12:52, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
There are certainly issues with the article - a whole slew of unreferenced stuff which, I think, was mentioned at least in an edit summary back in April. It looks kosher and I presume the editor who added it all works in the college - but whether or not it can be referenced I'm not so sure. I'm very happy for the article to br trimmed back.
Fwiw the editor currently tagging the article is almost certainly the banned User:Darkcover21 under dynamic ip mode - he's done it before. The spelling of Artical is usually a dead giveaway - he's been active in a number of Lowestoft articles the last few days again - the hospital, the sixth form college etc... I won't remove the CSD again - that's not my perogative. If you think it's sensible to semi-protect for a while then that might not be a bad idea - if it gets too bad I'll go and ask for it myself of course.
