Updates[edit]

Hi everyone, I am currently updating a number of pages that would be of interest to retailers and I will be working on this ESL page. I propose that we heavily expand this page and fill it with more information in regards to the technical function of the ESL, and the business function of ESL (with examples of course). Some of the sections that I will be adding over the next couple weeks are: 1) The business benefits of using ESL in a store 2) The functionalities of ESL and how does it work 3) The technological development and future advancement of ESL Though I am a new editor and not very familiar with Wikipedia, I welcome anyone to edit my work and help me clean up my citations. I am aware that for one of my sections, I have repeatedly use the same citation. If anyone can help me edit this one, I would greatly appreciate this. Let's all work together to make this page up to Wikipedia's standards. Technodudes (talk) 08:41, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I was about to tag the file for three problems. This article reads like an ad. It also is lacking in inline references, especially for technical terms. I have been an IT professional with positions ranging from network engineer and hardware tech to programmer. I have written numerous extensive applications and systems and, besides college coursework, was taught the real world business if programming by a gentleman who has a major part in writing the Eaten Airlines reservation system. With this pretty solid technical background, I still found myself having to look up terms often. Because of this, I also believe that it is much to technical of the average reader. There also appears to be much too much jargon.

That being said, the information therein is accurate and extensive. Frankly, I believe the article as it stands would be an excellent article on a trade magazine or an internal report written by a supporter of the pertinent technology. Billh57 (talk) 20:42, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I failed to state that I will be happy to work with you to fix things if you are substantially in agreement. Billh57 (talk) 20:44, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
