ToDo[edit]

There may be some useful information in the old data center fabric article (which was entirely unreferenced and read like an essay and/or copyvio). -- samj inout 19:19, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is a vapid marketing article that doesn't provide any real information about the topic. It should be removed as inconsequential. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Markhahn (talkcontribs) 23:38, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguate?[edit]

How does this term differ from 'cloud' computing or does it? Slashdottir (talk) 16:27, 27 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Usage[edit]

Does anyone outside Cisco use this term? We talk about "the fabric" but that tends to mean the physical wiring in "the farm"; the datacentre, but that's just it, the wiring; doesn't impact what you run on the nodes, which often tends to be large Hadoopy-like things or VM-managers. Citation link out of date[edit]

Hi all, first time doing this. I noticed this link goes to a 404:

Display text: Intel: Data Center Fabric
Destination URL: http://communities.intel.com/openport/blogs/server/2008/02/13/data-center-fabric

As of this comment, it's footnote #5.

I have no idea how to fix it, so I'm hoping one of you kind people will. This is just me raising the flag. Thanks!

If there's a better way to do this, please let me know. Seancurry1 (talk) 18:31, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
