@StAnselm: StAnselm You undid the section on complementarianism on the FIEC page because you thought it gave this doctrine undue weight. The point of making a separate section was that the FIEC itself has recently given complementarianism "undue weight" in its statement of belief, making it a prominent instead of secondary doctrine. I would like to include their particular statement about only men being preachers and elders in the church as part of this article. I don't think it can be assumed that readers would know that complementarian means this as there are a few different gradations of it, with "soft" complementarians allowing women to teach sometimes in certain circumstances. Can you agree that I insert part of the church statement of belief back into the article but without a separate section, just a clarifying extra sentence or two? Well, that's what it has now: a link to complementarianism with a sentence to explain/clarify. Now, closely related to the issue of undue weight was that you had no third-party/independent sources. Who's to say that these views are a big deal? Why are you focusing on this rather than all the other things in the membership booklet? Can you find reliable third-party sources describing FIEC's complementarianism? StAnselm (talk) 14:42, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
