Needless article?[edit]

I don't see the usefulness of this article. Its content really belongs entirely to the article on the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Lima (talk) 09:48, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If this article just reproduces material there, then a redirect seems ideal. Currently there is just a one sentence mention, but that can be fixed. Baccyak4H (Yak!) 13:54, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article in need of expansion, not deletion![edit]

Fidei Depositum deserves its own page because it's an independent piece of canonical legislation to promulgate an independent document of Church Teaching. CanonLawJunkie (talk) 14:48, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
So five and a half years later...
I just merged the content of this page with Pope John Paul II#Catechism of the Catholic Church. There was no section on his role in its publication, and the little lead on this page was perfect. Obviously, I now agree with the above suggestion of merging this page, contra my opinion of 5.5 years ago. Canon Law Junkie §§§ Talk 07:01, 31 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
