Its a Start[edit]

This page is a start in two ways. First the page isn't finished and second it is to serve as inspiration for developing WP articles for each of the 50 classic climbs that aren't already discussed in the associated peak articles. Specifically the technical routes need articles.--OMCV (talk) 05:03, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Diadem Books?[edit]

I own a paperback version which I believe I purchased in 1979, and all references in it are to Sierra Club Books as the publisher, and 1979 as the year of publication. I see no mention in my copy of Diadem. Jim Heaphy (talk) 02:50, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe it was just the first edition hardback that was Diadem. I got the information from internet searches for example I'm pretty sure I found that detail on amazon. I'm not attached to the info; I added it when the article needed fleshing out.--OMCV (talk) 17:52, 30 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Further online research leads me to believe that Sierra Club Books was the original publisher (the folks who developed the project), and that Diadem Books was the British publisher. Any comments? Jim Heaphy (talk) 01:34, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sure you're right. I support any fixes you have to offer.--OMCV (talk) 22:41, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If anyone feels like hunting down contemporary reviews, Google books indicate (but does not provide access to) the following:
