Ratios[edit]

Aren't the ratios of the flags the wrong way around, surely the top one is the 2:3 one and the lower on the 2:1 MrMarmite (talk) 15:18, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dates 1848/1849/1902[edit]

Looks like some pretty significant dates have been changed recently, here, without references, the older version also had no references for those specific dates afaics but the dates given appear to have been static for nine years so it seems questionable. Anyone got some cites to fix this? Should probably be marked as citation needed now also.121.73.221.187 (talk) 10:56, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

1848 or 1849[edit]

Communist Symbolism[edit]

Article points out that Laos and Cuban flags are the only ones to not have communist symbolism. I'd beg to differ, as a red triangular field sporting a white star would seem to me to be a communist symbol just the same. It may not have been designed as such, but it may have been "happy coincidence" that it was already with such a symbol. Contrast the Puertorican flag, where it is a star on a blue field, with the red stripes of the flag of the USA. Davidrust (talk) 23:18, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Doesn't the flag pre-date the communist regime? Either way, the mention strikes me as a bit crufty and superfluous. This article states that the Cuban flag is one of only two flags of communist countries that doesn't invoke communist imagery, and that the other is that of Laos. However, the article on the Flag of Laos states that it is one of three such flags - the third being that of Nepal. These articles appear to be in need of reconciliation. Color change?[edit]
