Pronunciation of 'Zernike' Suggestion[edit]

Currently the pronunciation of 'Zernike' in IPA in the article is the English variant. Considering this was a Dutch physicist, should it not be the Dutch pronunciation? The two variants are quite distinct. The Dutch pronunciation would be approximately /zɛrˈniːˌkʌ/, although I am no expert on this.2pem (talk) 22:12, 22 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Development of phase-contrast microscope[edit]

A user tried to add a citation for Zernike's contribution to the development of the phase-contrast microscope, but it didn't lead to any article. There appear to be pertinent citations in Phase-contrast_microscopy, but the links are to articles behind a pay wall, and I can't verify that they would be appropriate. Can someone with access check them out? - Donald Albury 15:08, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
