This project has been confused by the recent Management Plan update for the airport land that is happening concurrently with this project - the airport arranged public meetings had very low attendance - a probable sign of the confusion of the road making with the actual airport land area being under rapid change at the same time. It needs to be explained either in this article or the airport article that the airport land devlopments and the gateway projects are in fact 2 separate things happening at the same time. The Airport management plan - passed by the appropriate authorities in the federal government just recently is for the land within the airport land, the gateway project is occurring also on road reserves outside of and inside airport land. It wouild be well worth clarifying this somewhere. Also the large amount of money being expended on the road aspect, as far as I can ascertain does not include anything for the adjacent rail transport facilities that literally exist on the edges of all the road work - I may be wrong. satusuro 13:52, 26 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a paragraph on the Perth Airport redevelopment works being separate. Together with the lead sentence saying Gateway WA is a "project that will upgrade the road network", this should clarify the matter. - Evad37 [talk] 02:00, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This sentence need rewording:

It is located considerably on Perth Airport land, and adjacent main roads and reclaimed lands.

OK, point taken, I would have thought you could have re-written it.

The gateway project is located on land allocated for transport, as well as portions of the southern parts of the Perth Airport land.

... if I could figure out what it was trying to say, and/or I had the time and inclination to research it myself ... (I'm sure we've had this conversation before.)
Where is the "land allocated for transport"? In this context, the sentence is very weak without it. I've re-ordered the sentence; is the new version accurate? Should it be "adjacent land allocated for transport roads and reclaimed lands"? Mitch Ames (talk) 12:36, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
